Firstrade vs Robinhood

Robinhood is by far the best stock app for beginner traders.  Firstrade is a good alternative to Robinhood as the interface is simple like Robinhood.  In addition you get 1 free stock when you signup.  Firstrade has a clean interface with no too much info.  If you prefer more data maybe MooMoo or Webull would be better.

Firstrade postives

Free Stock

Clean interface

Easy to day trade

0 commission free trading

Free stocks for referring friends

Negatives

Takes time to transfer funds from bank account to Firstrade account.  No instant like Robinhood.

Customer service is just ok.  I emailed them several times and only got a response back once.

M1 Finance not for me

I have tested so far 10 different trading platforms.  M1 Finance is the one I like the least.  Maybe I am not the long term investor that M1 Finance caters to.  The problem I have is that M1 Finance has 1 trade window in the morning.  Two if you pay for the plus plan.  The price per share is almost always not the best price.  The pie feature I just don't get.  I was trying to add $10 to my account but because of the weird navigation I liquidated $10 of my pie.  I like to buy full shares rather than fractional shares.  Personally I think Robinhood is still one of the best platforms.
